RPG Last Chance of Earth
Analysis of imaginative processes in the challenge of the acidity of organic compounds
Abstract
It can be seen from the analysis of several education authors that the driving force of teaching and learning has become the interest of students, therefore, teachers clamored for different tools. Thus, formal educational games emerge with the task of vindicating these students' interest in learning. With this in mind, the RPG model (Role Playing Games) is built with a comprehensive and confirmatory theoretical basis for developing concepts and skills required in teaching, which sometimes are not achieved traditionally. Therefore, the Last Chance of Earth RPG adventure was applied in this research. So, it was analyzed from the perspective of “imaginary looping” the perception of students in higher education about the acidity of organic compounds. Which was investigated and categorized from the students' speeches exposed in the RPG adventure.
