Science Education, through educational activities and practices, can be used to bring scientific knowledge to basic education students. The approach of topics related to sustainability and environmental contamination can directly contribute to our quality of life and sustainable development. In this sense, we developed an educational digital game that approaches the environmental and social impact related to the use of dangerous and sustainable products. In addition, we evaluated the potential of this game as a Science Education tool. The results of this work suggest that the game contributed to the understanding of the topics approached by the evaluated students. After the game, the students understood the importance of using products that have a low or negligible environmental impact and understood the negative impacts of using dangerous products for living beings and the environment. Furthermore, students understood the relevance of scientific research in the area of ecotoxicology, based on studying chemical products and classifying them as hazardous or safe.
