Challenge of the way: a game for conceptual review of mechanics

Abstract

In a scenario of remote classes due to the pandemic caused by the coronavirus, a game was created associating playfulness and learning. The game “Desafio do Caminho” was developed using the PowerPoint software, which has several features and offers several features such as hyperlinks, animation effects, figures, sounds, etc., having all its dynamics based on the animation features made available by the software itself. In order to verify the assimilation of the basic concepts addressed in mechanics, after presented to students by the exhibition classes, the game well met the expectations when applied in the classroom to students of the 1st and 3rd year of high school, enabling students to conceptual review the contents addressed, acting as a teaching tool capable of providing learning, stimulating, and motivating students, in addition to favoring affective relationships and social interactions. As a pedagogical resource, the game referred the teacher as mediator, advisor, who instigates and evaluates learning.
