Development and application of the ludovid game about covid-19
Abstract
This study focused on the development and implementation of LUDOVID, an educational game based on the traditional ludo. This game was created as an interdisciplinary pedagogical tool, integrating concepts of health and natural sciences (biology and chemistry) to address the issues of the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, LUDOVID was applied in a Chemistry class of 12th-grade students. The goal was to evaluate the educational and playful potential of the game, as well as to identify factors that demonstrated its effectiveness in understanding the topics discussed in class. To assess the students' perception, aspects such as motivation, the experience of integrating a game into a lesson, and the impact of the game on learning were considered. The study sought to verify the feasibility of LUDOVID as a didactic resource in science education. A questionnaire was developed for students to express their opinions and experiences. Additionally, teachers who participated in the study were evaluated through semi-structured interviews. These interviews were analyzed descriptively, with the aim of better understanding the applicability and impact of LUDOVID in the educational context.
