The erasure and silencing of the voices and existences of indigenous peoples are structuring practices of modern hegemonic societies. Eurocentric, linear modernity, a catalyst for processes of expropriation and practices of domination, has promoted racism—a politics of death—as a structuring pillar of colonialism, which perpetuates itself today, stemming from coloniality. Indigenous struggles for land and territory rights are marked by action strategies and communication tools aimed at strengthening Indigenous peoples and communities. The creation of public documents has been one of these tools and is aimed at expanding the reach of indigenous struggles and demands. This article aims to provide a brief analysis of two Indigenous public documents: the Avá-Guarani Charter of the Tekoha Y'hovy and the Consultation and Consent Protocol of the Mura People of Itaparanã. Our methodology is to analyze the public discourses present in these documents with the aim of understanding them as repertoires of struggle and r-existence. The strategies of struggle, agendas, and modes of political articulation and mobilization promoted by multiple indigenous peoples and nations in their pursuit of ethnic self-affirmation and territorial autonomy—the right to land, territory, autonomy and self-determination of peoples, and differentiated health and education—are diverse. Through public writing, Indigenous peoples politicize their actions and knowledge as a strategy of valorization in the struggle against those who violate, exploit, and stigmatize them. Through affirmations and manifestations of their existence through distinct ways of feeling, acting, and thinking, indigenous peoples express their territorialities in r-existence, asserting other possible worlds.
