Abstract

O presente trabalho aborda a construção do I Congresso Estudantil da Universidade da Integração Internacional da Lusofonia Afro-Brasileira (UNILAB), cuja temática foi: Os desafios do movimento estudantil para a construção da UNILAB como projeto democrático de integração e interiorização, com fomento da Fundação do I Diretório Central Estudantil (DCE). A priori, a UNILAB é pautada com fomento da interiorização, por ser resultado do Programa de Reestruturação e Expansão das Universidades Federais e situada no município de Redenção, conhecida nacionalmente como a primeira cidade a abolir à escravatura.
