El presente escrito, busca analizar el Movimiento por los Derechos Civiles de los afrodescendientes en los Estados Unidos, utilizando como fuente un cómic y serie televisiva llamada The Boondocks. Para lo que dividimos el análisis en: Decolonialdidad visual y The Booncocks, donde presentamos conceptos como ¨decolonialidad visual¨ y ¨zona de contacto¨ y presentamos la serie y sus utilidades para entenderla como metáfora visual y objeto de Análisis para los estudios de subalternidades dentro del campo de Relaciones Internacionales; Antecedentes, donde se realiza un estudio historiográfico sobre el Movimiento Afroamericano desde inicios del siglo XX hasta la actualidad y finalmente el análisis de la fuente elegida para concluir con algunas consideraciones finales.
