CULTURAL POLICIES IN LATIN AMERICA: THEORETICAL CONTRIBUTIONS

This study aims to contribute to the field of cultural policies in Latin America from a bibliometric and critical perspective, articulating contributions on intellectual practices in culture and power in Latin America by Daniel Mato and discussions on the scientific field by Pierre Bourdieu. The research uses Google Scholar to collect data on scientific productions related to cultural policies in Latin America, in Spanish and Portuguese. The Publish or Perish program was used to extract information related to the productions. The research follows a methodology based on previous studies and is part of the Mapping Project of knowledge production in cultural policies (MapaCULT). The objective is to analyze the impact of publications and apply theories related to culture and cultural policies.
