Thematic Dossier - Articles

Manuscripts submitted to thematic dossiers must be scientific articles whose theme refers to that of the open call at the time of submission. This section aims to disseminate and promote debates on specific problems concerning the integration of Latin America and the Caribbean. The texts must respect the Guidelines for Authors and the article template

To submit a Thematic Dossier proposal, it is necessary to fill out this form and send it to the email revista.espirales@unila.edu.br, paying attention to the following points: 

  • The proposal must be submitted by 2 or 3 people with a doctoral degree, prioritizing gender, race, geographic and institutional diversity;
  • The information of the proposers must include: name, title, institutional affiliation, ORCID, Lattes CV, e-mail and ethnic-racial and gender identification; 
  • The proposal must be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish and English, including: 
    • Title and subtitle (if any). 
    • Description of the call (maximum 200 words) and thematic axes; 
    • Objectives, justification and relationship with the Focus and Scope of the journal (maximum 500 words). 

In case of approval of the proposal, the proponents of the thematic dossier will be temporarily incorporated as Guest Editors in the OJS platform and will be responsible for appointing and registering ad hoc reviewers in the double-blind methodology to evaluate the manuscripts submitted to the call, as well as monitoring the entire editorial flow of these articles. In addition, they should maintain constant contact with the editor-in-chief and executive editor of the magazine.
