In this article we analyze the history of the creation of the regional cinematographic integration space Fórum Entre Fronteiras, formed in 2007 on an itinerant basis between the South of Brazil, the Northwest of Argentina and Paraguay. This articulation between filmmakers, public entities, film festivals and independent producers contributed to the cinematographic production carried out in the last two decades in the region, triggering the formation of Cinema Institutes and public notices to promote audiovisual production and circulation. As a result of this organization process, in 2018 the construction of Mercado Entre Fronteiras began, which has carried out co-production notices carried out by cinema institutes, such as IECINE in Rio Grande do Sul and IAAVIM, in Misiones and INAP , in Paraguay. We are interested in thinking about how this process of regional and international integration promoted the construction of public policies for cinema and what the impacts were on cinematographic productions carried out during this period: their images and imaginaries.
